ABOUT THE DIVIDEND OBSERVER

Welcome to The Dividend Observer!

First, THANK YOU for stopping by and taking the time to read a little bit about me and the dividend observer site.

I started my trading/investing journey in the Philippine Stock market on September 2009. I am an OFW and a self-taught, (DIY) trader/investor. I started learning the world of stock market through online resources. I learned a lot by asking questions in stock market forums and reading a lot of free investment articles through the internet. I am so eager to learn that I could not wait any longer for the proper training/education when I started trading, as the saying goes, If there’s a WILL, there’s a WAY. Thanks for the technology and the supportive fellow traders/ investors who are selfishly shares their ideas online.

So, Why The Dividend Observer blog?

The Dividend Observer blog is my way of sharing my journey in building WEALTH through dividend income. I want to help my fellow Filipino investors/traders who started their journey in the stock market by OFFERING a Dividend Stock Ideas to invest in! I designed a Dividend Stock Screener to generate stock ideas and will share in this blog what stocks to focus – the most “interesting” stocks that will lead us to build WEALTH and achieve FINANCIAL FREEDOM in due time.

I got my interest in dividend income investing after I took part in the dividend observer thread of STOCK MARKET PILIPINAS forum. I realized dividend investing is one of the best way in building WEALTH and the best strategy for me going forward. Investing in stock market is very risky. Stock prices is moving like a roller coaster but with dividend investing, although stock prices decline, a regular dividend income may come into your portfolio.

One of the purpose of this blog is to share my experiences in building my wealth through dividend income and looking forward that dividends could one day fund my family expenses without having to sell my stock holdings.

Is the Dividend Observer Blog for long term investing ONLY?

Definitely NO. As we all know, the stock market is moving like a roller coaster, there are UP days and DOWN days. I want to take benefit on this two cycles of stock market. By the way, I am maintaining two separate accounts, that is one exclusive for long term investing and the other one for my short term trading.

Over the years, I made some experiments on the indicators that I should follow. For my long term investing, I have my TDO score to guide me which stocks to focus that will give the BEST return. Whether I am buying the stock for long term or short term, my entry/exit is always guided by my self-made momentum indicator. I may share here frequently (if time permits) my Stock Buy/Sell signal alert for short term trade.

Thanks So Much for Stopping By!

Feel free to browse my site and if you have any questions, please let me know.

I welcome any comments, thoughts, or suggestions.

Wishing you all the BEST!

INDO

  6. Hi sir if you dont mind, kindly please provide us real time strategies of dividend play based on your long time experience of taking advatage of the dividend…like for ex: is it better to accumulate before expecting the day of dividend declaration? or u simply buy on the day it was declared or after the day it was declared? is it better to sell before ex date knowing the profit % gain u gain in accumulating is better rather than an the actual cash dividend? or do you simply sell on ex date even though you are expecting a % of lost on the ex date because of major selling pressure?, how to avoid companies that provide high yield dividend share but may use the same tactic to attract investors to buy more shares?, etc…

  7. Great site bro INDO.. Sa dami ng mga sites tungkol sa TA, doing this one on dividends is very much welcome like the one na ginawa ni bro GAP sa UITF’s. Sana mai-sama mo din mga stock rights play ni Spyfrat.

    • Thank you Bro Irvin (ippfx). sana nga makatulong itong site na ito in the future. subscriber din ako sa mga blogs nyo, though naka focus ako sa dividend stocks but still I use TA for my entry/exit timing. Hindi ako aware sa stock rights play ni Bro Spyfrat. wala na din akong access sa blog nya.
