WeekEnd Blog – Prayer

prayerWhat a wonderful week it has been!

My car was due for servicing last week. Together with my family, we decided to go early to the car service workshop hoping that we will be able to get our car in the afternoon. Generally, every time we brought our car for servicing, we will get it on the next day.

When I woke up that day, I include in my Morning Prayer asking papa Jesus to grant that we will be able to collect our car after servicing on that same day. I embrace what Jesus told to his disciples as written in John 14:14, “If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.”

Truly, God grants what I am asking for that day! I believe it is the work of the HOLY SPIRIT! I never thought that one of the service crew would approach me in the waiting lobby, asking my queue number and secretly asked me to hand over to him my car key quickly, why quickly? Maybe because there are also a lot of people waiting nearby me. I could have wait for five more customers to be served before my turn. Further, He instructed me to wait since he made our car servicing in the top priority list.

Indeed, after two hours of waiting, our car is ready! I PRAISE and THANK God for granting my simple prayer that day. Sincerely, God will give you what you asked for. Just have the faith and trust HIM.

Do you experience difficulties in your life right now? PRAY to God.

By coincidence, the inspirational quotations I received last week from trans4mind.com talks about PRAYER. Here are the inspirational quotations:

“Our life is our prayer. It’s our gift to the universe, and the memories we leave behind when we someday exit this world will be our legacy to our loved ones. The best thing we can do for ourselves and everyone around us is to find our joy and share it!” ~ Anita Moorjani

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.” ~ Meister Eckhardt

“If prayer is you talking to God, then intuition is God talking to you.” ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
But neither happen in words, really. Spiritual communication is through feeling, encased in gratitude, compassion and service.

“God, grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.” ~ The Serenity Prayer
Sometimes the worst answer to your prayer would be to give you that for which you asked.

“Rather than the sense of helplessness that often leads us to ask for assistance from a higher power, feeling-based prayer acknowledges our ability to communicate with the intelligent force that 95 percent of us believe in, and participate in the outcome. Without any words, without our hands held in a certain position or any outward physical expression, this mode of prayer simply invites us to feel a clear and powerful feeling as if our prayers have already been answered. Through this intangible language, we participate in the healing of our bodies, the abundance that comes to our friends and families, and the peace between nations.” ~ Greg Braden

As Sarah Ban Breathnach put it, “Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again.”

By the way, are you aware of the news last week about Mary Jane Veloso? Why was she spared from the Indonesian execution? I believe because of PRAYER. Millions of Filipinos are praying for her.

Happy Week end everyone!
