I was having my vacation for the whole month of August 2015. I was having fun with my family and friends. Yes, I had the great time.
Well, this is just a quick post. I’m thinking to share this as this might help you in your future investment decisions.
Ok, my vacation is now over! I’m back here in the Middle East where I am currently working. The first thing I check when I turned ON my desk top was my trading account then my investing account. I was really surprised! Almost all of my holdings are BLOODY in RED! I did not open nor reading the newspaper about the status of the stock market while I was on vacation. No no no no no…. I am not sad. I’m still smiling. Why? Because I know that is the nature of the stock market, it’s a cycle… Just like riding a roller coaster.

Why Our Stocks Went Down
When China devalued its currency, BOOM.
That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. It made everyone scared. People realized China was hurting economically. And this fear sent ripples around the world. So last week, Foreign Fund Managers sold their remaining shares in the stock markets of emerging countries, including the Philippines.
Even if nothing was wrong with the Philippines!
Let me give you an analogy of what happened: Imagine a rich woman who bought 10 books from a bookstore. Upon returning home, she opened the first book and discovered that there were insects in it. Yuck. She looked at the other books and saw more bugs! That was when she freaked out. Quickly, she threw all the 10 books into the garbage can.
But not all those 10 books were bug-infested. Out of the 10, three of those books were in pristine condition. But they were thrown away with the rest.
One day, some wise person will find out. Someone will be fishing through the garbage and discover those 3 beautiful books. And they will take them, clean them up, and sell them for a huge profit.
Foreign fund managers were just like that rich lady: They freaked out and threw out their basket of shares from various countries. Not realizing that they also threw away gems like the Philippines.
But sooner or later, they will start buying us back.
How do I know?
Because it’s a cycle. This foolishness happens again and again and again…
